Suzy Kim is a historian of modern Korea and serves on the faculty at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. She guest-edited a volume of Cross-Currents: East Asian History and Culture Review and and wrote the award-winning book Everyday Life in the North Korean Revolution, 1945-1950. She works for peace and social justice in Korea as the cofounder of Women Cross DMZ, is the Korea specialist for Amnesty International USA, and an advisory board member for Truth Foundation. She is on the executive committee of the Institute for Research on Women at Rutgers University, and serves on several editorial boards.
