Suhad Babaa (@smbabaa) is the President and Executive Director of Just Vision, which fills a media gap on Israel-Palestine through storytelling, journalism and strategic audience engagement. She is a documentary producer, publisher, media and impact strategist.
Suhad produced the film Boycott (2021), which traces the impact of U.S. state legislation designed to penalize individuals and companies that choose to boycott Israel due to its human rights record. She executive produced the acclaimed feature-length documentary Naila and the Uprising (2017). She is the co-publisher of the award-winning Hebrew-language news site Local Call. Suhad helped lead the impact campaigns for Just Vision’s critically acclaimed film Budrus (2009), which was recognized with the Doc Society Social Impact Award in 2012, as well as the Peabody award-winning documentary My Neighbourhood (2012), which has since helped support a global campaign to save the Sheikh Jarrah community.
She has addressed dozens of audiences at such venues as the White House, United Nations General Assembly, Harvard University and community centers across the US. Suhad previously served as Just Vision’s Director of Programming, overseeing their outreach efforts across the United States, Israel, and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
Suhad is a Council on Foreign Relations Term Member, Global Shaper with the World Economic Forum and Princeton Emerging Leader.
