Nedal Al-Salman (@Bahrights) is President of the Bahrain Center for Human Rights and a vice president of FIDH, the International Federation for Human Rights, with a membership of 192 organizations from 117 countries. She was a 2019-2021 convenor on the council of IFEX, the network of free expression defenders based in Canada.

The Bahrain Center for Human Rights (@BahrainRights) promotes democracy and human rights and documents and reports on human rights violations in Bahrain. Despite a government order in November 2004 to close down, the Center is still operating and in 2020 published Bahrain, Women, the Powerful Actors in Building Peace.

Nedal Al-Salman has been targeted for her work as a woman human rights defender. She was placed under a travel ban in August 2016. Three years later, in 2019, the travel ban was lifted. She is based in Bahrain.
